Privacy First: Why We Don't Track You
In a world where data tracking has become the norm, we built Tool-web on a privacy-first philosophy. We want you to understand exactly what we do — and do not — do with your data.
Your Files Stay on Your Device
Every tool on Tool-web processes files directly in your browser. Your PDFs, images, text, and other data never get uploaded to our servers, which means we literally cannot see them. This is why tools work offline after the page loads and why there is no file storage to worry about.
No Accounts, No Profiles
We do not require you to create an account, and we do not build profiles of individual visitors. Favorite lists and theme preferences are stored locally in your browser, not on our servers.
Analytics and Advertising Only With Your Consent
We use a small set of third-party services — Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and Google AdSense — to understand how the site is used and to keep it free. These load only after you explicitly accept the relevant category in our consent banner. Before you consent, nothing is loaded and nothing is tracked. You can change your choice at any time from the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer. See our privacy policy for the full details.
Why We Do This
We believe that useful tools shouldn't come at the cost of your privacy. You deserve access to high-quality utilities without being monitored, profiled, or sold. That is why the default is private: files stay on your device, and third-party services are opt-in rather than opt-out.
What We Store, and What We Don't
To keep the site working, a small amount of information is stored in your browser:
- A theme preference - Remembers whether you chose light or dark mode.
- A consent choice - Remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics and advertising cookies.
- Your favorites and history - Saved locally so you can return to tools you use often.
We do not store your files, your search terms, or any document content on our servers. When you finish using a tool, nothing about your actual data is kept anywhere.
How to Clear Your Data
Because everything is stored in your browser, removing it is straightforward: open your browser settings, clear site data for tool-web.online, and the stored preferences will be removed. You will be asked for your consent choice again on your next visit, which is expected behavior.
Consent Is a Choice, Not a Default
Third-party services load only after you explicitly opt in. If you decline, the site remains fully functional — the tools themselves never depend on analytics or advertising. You can revisit your decision at any time via the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer, or review the details on our privacy policy page.
Privacy isn't just a feature — it's the foundation of everything we build.
